<David McMurrey> But how much are technical writers involved in producing multimedia-based
user documents? I don't see many signs of it in job ads.
-------------------------------------------

I'm a technical writer responsible for creating training materials in addition to technical documents and online help. Macromedia Authorware is the perfect tool for creating CBT, tutorials, etc. We just recently purchased RoboDemo from eHelp Corp to incorporate tutorials and instructional videos into online help. Our company has been accustomed to printed training manuals, but my department is working to add multimedia to the list of available training options.
