Hi Techwhirlers --

Several of us have had problems creating large-page PDFs from
Visio. I wanted to let you folks know about Jaws PDF Creator,
which does the job.

Some background: Back in May, I asked Techwr-L for help in
converting an 8.5" x 14" inch Visio diagram to PDF. Acrobat
insisted on mashing everything to the right of inch 10 into a
1-inch-wide blob. Jennifer Maitland offered the successful
solution of using Word as an intermediate step. However, my next
drawing was 30" x 8". Again, in direct coversion from Visio,
Acrobat mashed inches 10 - 29 of my drawing into inches 10-11 on
the PDF. This time I couldn't use Word as an intermediate step
because it won't accept a drawing over 22" wide. Not amusing.

Jaws PDF Creator <> by Global
Graphics turned out to do the trick. After some back and forth
with their very helpful tech support, in which they taught me
how to make custom page sizes, I have a lovely, 30" x 8" PDF.
Further, I now know how to modify ppd files for future projects.
I'm really tickled. And at US$100, it's a bargain.
