RE: Job Market In The Next 6 Months

RD,

At the Dallas STC meeting earlier this month, a panel of three recruiters
would not admit to any real optimism when asked a similar question. So much
of the tech sector here has been telecom related that we have been hit very
hard.

People I have talked with say their companies desperately need to hire but
don't have the budget.  Their management is waiting to see another "good
quarter."

I read on another list that some people in Austin believe things have
bottomed out, if not yet turned around. On the other hand, I read an article
indicating people are rapidly deserting Northern California.

Recovery may depend on where you are located.
