If it were me in that predicament, I'd haul my nosey self right down to the shop floor and sit there like a bump on a log while they put it together, recording all movements, asking questions, etc., but I'd bring donuts too...some things take some finessing... ; ))) It's possible they're winging it too, and are too proud to tell you that. Have you tried quizzing the manufacturer?
