Do other lists that are subscribed to by technical professionals contain this much dialog about the format and content of a resume? I belong to a couple, moderated and not, and NEVER see this kind of long thread on a dead horse.

While it is no doubt interesting, nothing I have read on this thread (or the dozen or so similar threads in the last year) have contained anything particularly germaine to the field of technical writing.

Yes, we are technical communicators, but resume writing is not technical communication. That statement can be debated for a long time, too, I am sure.

Is it about time we defer this topic to some other resource such as a resume writing mailing list and get back to the bidness of tech writing.

Sorry if I am being a curmudgeon, but enough is really enough. Yes, I know where my delete key is, but I am starting to wear it out.
