This happened to me in the mid-80's. After enduring two painful interviews
for two horrific companies (both interviews resulted in job offers, which I
placed in the Hell Freezing Over file) I had a much more pleasant
interview. It seemed like a good place and a good job.

Near the end, I asked the interviewer if she was proud to work for this
company. She smiled and nodded, and said, "Absolutely. It's a great
place." She went on for a few minutes about the environment, the friends
she made, the reputation of the company, and so on. Her open enthusiasm for
the company was such a tonic that it helped convince me to accept their
offer. I worked there for 7 years. Good place, too bad they're out of
business (they were absorbed. Resistance was futile).
