Have you tried using the organizer to copy the missing styles from another
document to the normal template and restore them that way?

Sounds like something got corrupted somewhere.

Somehow all of the styles in my normal.dot template are missing (like
Heading 1, etc.) Is there a way for me to replace them without re-installing
Word? I know how to create a new template, use the Organizer, etc. but I'm
at a total loss here! I have been using Word since it was a DOS-based
program and I have never seen this before.
