Allen,

There is another program put together by the Middlesex Community College people called the Software Technical Writing Program. It is in Bedford, MA, which is not very far outside of Boston.

The MCC STWP is in it's 25th or so year and has a good reputation in the region. It is targeted towards career-changers, and is held at nites and on weekends to accomodate full-time workers. You might want to check it out.

I have no affiliation with the MCC STWP except that I graduated from it.

I plan to enroll in courses toward a Technical Writing certificate at either Northeastern University (via their online program) or the University of Massachusetts in Lowell.

Any thoughts on either program, and on how the two programs compare?

Thank you,
Allen Pratt
