If you're interested in printing with Linux, check out linuxprinting.org.
Printing on Linux has come a very long way in the last couple years with
CUPS. It's a system that works so well, and is so easy to use, Apple has
licensed it and integrated it into Rendezvous.

Linuxprinting.org currently have over 242 printer drivers and a database of
998 printers that will show exactly how well a printer driver will work for
your printer.
