Was Question(s) re: Importing Word Docs into Quark & Formatting

Hello Everyone:

I first want to say that it's won-der-ful to be a part of this
list/discussion group *and* I'm so thankful for the responses and info
I've received from various members.

It appears that importing Word documents into Quark-at least-is best
accomplished using plain text and minimal formatting. I'm hearing that the
formatting aspect should be done after the doc is brought into Quark. I
just wanted to verify this info before passing it along to my client.

They are developing a book project with an estimated length of 350 pages.
It's good to be able to pass this info along now-in the early stages of
development-to prevent difficulties further down the road.
