The famous Andrew Plato of this list regularly rails against tech
writers who are absorbed with tool knowledge, font fondling, and
so forth, as opposed to technical expertise and explanatory ability.

Sometimes he seems to see such writers where they do not exist, or
rather creates them with his words, to knock them down. Hence the
term "straw man".
