It doesn't cut it because we cannot keep up with development's efforts. A
1:11 ratio might work nicely for another company.

I also remembered another factor that goes into which ratio you need:

- How complex the software is (also, whether different features overlap with
one another)

To play devil's advocate, why doesn't it cut it? Because the ratio doesn't
in the "standard", or because of the workload in your department.

If we are to consider Mechanical and Electrical Engineers the equivalent of
Developers then the ratio here is something along the lines of 1:30 or more.
Seems to match our requirements without too much trouble.
