In all seriousness, it took me a few minutes to understand what you were talking about.

Hal now has to not only turn away from techwr-l as a source of skilled
potential employees for a job his department might have an opening for, but
he can't post until his posting privileges are restored. A bit harsh, don't
ya think?


No, he doesn't. All he has to do is talk things over with Eric (who has always struck me as a reasonable human being, especially considering the provocation he must be under some times), pay for his advertising and submit it in the proper way - something he agreed to do when he signed up.

Where's the harshness?
