Sez who? <g> About the only real disadvantage in using Normal is that by
default, Word defines most of its other styles based on Normal, so if you
edit Normal, all the other styles change too. Dumb design decision, and I
revise my Normal template each time I get a new machine to avoid this
problem.

The important thing is that you use a style consistently for each paragraph.
Which style you use isn't so important, except as noted above. Personally, I
use Normal for body text simply because you can apply that style with a
keyboard shortcut (Control-Shift-N) and I've been too lazy to rebind that
shortcut to the style for Body text.
