Adrienne Fargas already wrote this, but I want to make sure
everyone sees it.

If you choose Tools > Templates and Add-Ins and clear the
"Automatically update document styles" the template
definitions of your styles will NOT update the document
definitions of those styles, no matter what they are named.

But I still think it's a good idea to avoid using Normal as
a base.
