I love the creative thinking behind this idea, but I doubt that SMEs would listen to the "tape" (virtual, or otherwise). Also, how would they give you comments? They're unlikely to remember exactly what was wrong, where it was in the tape, or to be able to communicate it back to you in a way that makes sense. I'm guessing you'd end up with "movie review" comments -- qualitative, but nothing actionable.

That said, an app like Speech Queue (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/15678) could be used to automate the process. No actor necessary, use Text to Speech to create the recording automatically.
