On a Macintosh, enable "Automatically save chat transcripts" in the iChat message preferences to have every IM session logged to a folder of your choice.

The freeware app "Logorrhea" provides a tool to easily browse and search your transcripts. You can get it at http://spiny.com/logorrhea/ (there are screenshots if you just want to see what it looks like.)




Does anyone know of freeware or shareware that archives incoming
and outgoing instant messages? This would be for AOL IM.
