I think some of this depends on the corporate culture
as well as the tech writer.

For example, in a fairly warm and open environment,
I'm sure such questions, etc., are viewed positively,
as intended.

At the other end of the spectrum, I'm sure there are
those who scurry to their desks in a flack jacket and
helmet and who don't go looking for more incoming
rounds . . ..

So, I'd venture a guess that nosyness is as much
dependent on environment as the personality or
motivation of any individual tech writer.
