Dunno about Construx.

What we do is associate core competencies with
seniority... Certain skills, levels of interaction,
and such are expected at each level, with every new
level building on the previous. This way, the more
senior someone becomes in the group, the more agile
they are at moving from one type of project to
another.

In this model, you can have a senior level person with
5 years' experience and a mid-level person with 15
years' experience. Title, pay, and responsibility is
achieved by merit, not longevity.

It's a great way of making sure your team is
structured right, and that people are being
appropriately compensated for their level of contribution.
