I don't know of any ifilter for FrameMaker, but it shuoldn't be extra work to create your PDFs. You should easily be able to set up a system to automate the process for you - check the dates of your FrameMaker files, distill any new ones, etc. You could run a batch nightly, for example. Initial setup might be a bit of a problem, but once that's accomplished, the system could be invisible. I know I did this back in the Unix days... There are tools to do it on Windows, including the FDK, FrameScript, of FrameAC - a VisualBasic wrapper for the FDK (disclaimer - I represent Mekon, the makers of FrameAC).

we have to publish our documents (created in FrameMaker) on the =
company's MS
SharePoint Server. Is there any ifilter for FrameMaker (to index =
FrameMaker
files) on the market (my own research on the internet gave no result) =
or do
we have to go with pdf? It would be a lot of extra work to create a new =
pdf
file after each change of a FrameMaker document.

TIA
Andreas Ternes
