I would like any suggestions or comments about a proofreading problem that
I have. Everyday, several production (manufacturing) procedures are
revised and submitted to an online document management system, which
distributes the procedures to assigned reviewers. The people submitting
these revisions are called initiators. As the only technical writer at my
location, one of my proposed tasks is to proofread ALL of the revisions
submitted before they are given final approval. I feel that it is up to
the initiator to proofread their own revisions; however, another co-worker
suggested that the production department should proofread the procedures.
Any comments?
