Hello,

Lisa Wright wrote (among other good stuff): "A ton of writers use a combination of *either* AP/Chicago PLUS MMoS, etc.,
to meet their style guide needs. Your situation is no different."

This is true, Wendy. In my first TW job, our department referred to Chicago, MMoS, and Sun's guide for a customized style guide. In my most recent TW job, I participated on a project team whose goal was to standardize written language across the board for TWs, marketing, training, etc. We reviewed AP and flagged the necessary items. (Admittedly, there was a lot of information that we didn't need for our purposes.) We then turned to MMoS to fill in the gaps.

Again, don't sweat this one. You should be able to select a guide that fits your needs and to justify that decision, if necessary.

Regards,
