Not too surprising.

According to a National Geographic survey of young Americans (18-24) a few years ago

- 30 percent couldn't find the Pacific Ocean on a map
- 60 percent couldn't find Japan
- 11 percent couldn't even find the US
- 1/3 thought the US population was between 1 and 2 billion
