E&O is really exactly what it says: it is protection of you for any errors
or omissions you might have made that have ugly consequences. Organizations
want you to have it because then they know that if something awful has gone
wrong and you all end up in court as a result, you will be covered for
damages. Most of the time, this is a check box on some form that is "due
diligence" that you are covered, and it's never spoken of again.
