You cannot ASK FOR almost anything you want.
First, what you ask for tells those you are asking what you already
know, how you feel about their time, and where you think you fall in
the heiarchy of the organization.
If you ask for almost anything, you are telling them that you don't
know much, that your time is more valuable than theirs, that you
won't bother to hold up your end, and that they are there to cater to
you.
