I've been on a few interviews where the folks are afraid that they're
going to get another tech writer "just like the last one" who screwed
up everything and needed an explanation of what software really was,
and all that. Remember when we had to use bad technical typists or
keypunch operators? And we were constantly re-correcting the same
mistaken "corrections" to our work? I think it's from all that.
