Hi Sharon,

When in doubt on "BrEng" I always consult 'Fowler's Modern English Usage'. It says that both forms of ageing are in common use, but expresses a preference for including the E, not a mandatory.

As far as recognize goes, very many people don't realize that the English used the Z in these words a couple of hundred years ago and more. Many now wrongly use an S in order to distinguish between BrEng and AmEng, thinking that the 'American version' which uses a Z in any of these words must be wrong. Which it 'ain't'.

HTH,
Ant

Hi all,

We are preparing a manuscript for release in the UK, and I am not sure what step I am missing in order to spell check my MS Word document to check for English (UK).
Any ideas of where I'm going wrong?
