Basically most of the terms in the idiom translater are regular
British English. Indian English is as much a variant of British
English as American English is. (and it is interesting to find
presered in the US, versions of words spoken in England around the
1600s). So maybe the language I speak, originating from Britain, is
also different from the majority of the members of this list.
But to make this more on-topic.
I have more or less learnt to write in American English (spelling etc.).
Does anyone do technical writing in British English?

Really?! Maybe you have it backwards! Nah.

All I have to say is that our version of English is "different." Not
everyone talks like this but yeah many of us do. Then we learn the
nuances. For most of us Indians, English is a second, third, fourth...
language.

There is a whole bunch of jokes and puns on this, but then we get our
laughs on English. (Sorry but that's true...)

Not only do we pass out of college, we "do" medical or engineering, we
pass class I, II, .... XI, XII. And yes, our education system does
make most of us pass-out! So many subjects, tests, exams, boards, ....
