Everyone,

I'm looking for input from other experienced writers on an issue I'm debating with our company president.

How do you abbreviate "Accounts Payable"?

- AP
- A/P
- Something else

In turn, how would you abbreviate "sales order" when you clearly can't re-word, spell it out, or write around the usage?
- SO
- S/O
- Something else

(My superior insists that the slashes are an accepted industry standard. I don't buy this.) :)

Thank you in advance,
Jenn
