Hi Peggy,

I have successfully distilled some *huge* Word 2003 files to PDF. I
suggest looking at the following:

http://tinyurl.com/a6bjr ("Reducing Word's CPU Load")

http://tinyurl.com/drnfr ("Clarification on 'word bloat'")

http://tinyurl.com/d5raz ("Developing 150-page docs in MS Word XP" --
also relevant to Word 2003)

Good luck!

Dan Goldstein
