Yikes, you are all giving me flashbacks to typing class in school. Back in the days when we used actual typewriters, and not self-correcting ones. I can still remember sticking that bloody white strip in the typewriter to correct something. I had to actually use a typewriter for something a couple of years ago and felt like a complete moron because it took forever to type anything! Oh by the way did I mention my walking 32 miles to school in blizzards? :)

Sometimes I miss the days when I did my writing on an IBM Selectric. I found that retyping each paragraph gave me a crisper style, as my lazy fingers sought out ways to reduce the number of keystrokes needed.

And remember the screens we used to use on photographs to get them to reproduce correctly? I don't miss those days one bit. Hey, does anyone still have any carbon paper lying around? I used to compose early drafts on 3-ply teletype paper, and literally cut and paste when moving text around.
