Lots of "web calendar" services out there, but that might not be what you want for a medical office (HIPAA constraints?).

I'm not sure HIPAA is much of an issue on a password-secured Web page on a site I administer. That should be enough privacy for an appointment schedule, I think, although it's a question worth raising.

However, when you say "lots of 'web calendar' services out there," I guess that's what I'm looking for pointers to. None of the ones I've seen so far have sufficient functionality.

I've handled small
medical office scheduling with an intranet wiki, but that takes people willing to see scheduling as an itemized list rather than the cute little quarter-hour time slot sheets from their DayTimers.

They're already using something like that (not a wiki, but a list format). What they want is an upgrade so they can see a visual representation of everyone's schedule for the day, etc. The problem with the one they're using is that, because it's not sufficiently user-friendly, they're not using it consistently. That's a problem when the only reliable calendar is the paper one on the receptionist's desk and the office is closed.

My cPanel
host is juggling files in maintenance mode at the moment, or I'd be able to report on what's available in the Fantastico script library. Back later, if I dig something up, and no one has beaten me to it.

Good. I look forward to it.
