I am very well-respected by the group that I work with.  I am embedded
within the development group and am truly a part of it.

On the other hand, I once worked for a dot-com where I was expected to
do everything from SDKs to help files and editing of marketing material.
When I created my first help file for them, one of the developers looked
at it and said, "Wow!  That looks professional!"  I wanted to say, "Is
your code amateurish?" or, "What do you think they pay me for?  Cleaning
out the refrigerator?"
