I've been here for almost 10 years - just turned 64. I just got my first
promotion and a very nice raise 2 weeks ago, but I had to fight for it for
over a year. My thinking is that management didn't want to invest a lot
more money in someone who might retire in the next few years. But
eventually they did. I don't think I'd have any luck with getting work
these days except maybe contract work.
