There's been a lot of (well-deserved, no doubt) frustration with Word,
but I have to say, as someone who is a moderately-proficient Word user
but no expert (I can make a TOC, mess with field codes and
apply/record macros, but don't -write- macros), I get a lot of
appreciation for being able to format documents semi-attractively and
beat certain of Word's 'features' (I use that term loosely) like page
numbering into a semblance (however temporary) of submission.
Whew! Longest-sentence-of-the-day-award goes to ME! ;-)
But seriously; isn't it fun when your co-workers think you're amazing
for being able to make the page numbers of a document actually run in
order with no duplications or omissions?
And for those of us who LOVE troubleshooting, Word is a goldmine.
Well, if it's not deadline-time, that is! :-/
