Not being a coffee drinker, this would probably be the best set
of directions for me. Ideally, the "holiday cottage" without room
service would have provided me with one of those hotel-style
coffeemakers that have the instructions printed on the top (and
also turn themselves off after a given time to prevent me from
burning the place to the ground by leaving the coffeemaker on).

However, since in the case cited I'd have a day or two to do this,
I'd have the time to go online and find out how coffee is supposed
to be made before I had to write the procedure.
