Heheh,

The Police took care of it.
My lawsuit was from the point of me against the Company.
Unfortunately, The Company in question happened to be a major
newspaper in the State...the potential for damage (to me) was too
great - so I simply walked away.

Trust me, I take crap from no one..heheh. But there are some battles
that I choose not to fight. Karma did come back and get them,
however. That's another story.

I remember reading an article once about companies with high turnover, and
it included a lot of complaints from management about inconsiderate staff,
etc. The article concluded that the manager/owner of the department/company
with the high turnover needed to look at their face in the mirror and
understand that the person looking back at him/her was the problem.
Unfortunately, most have excessive egos that get in the way of solving
staffing problems.

"Lawsuit if it happens...heheh. It just doesn't matter. Utah is a "Right
to Work" State. So it's hard to sue and is (largely) career suicide. I
worked a job where the IT Manager was caught keying my car on my last day.

I tried to sue...let's just say I was told "Sure, if you never want to work
in the State again!"

I settled for a new paint job."

You didn't have to sue, all you had to do was call the police. What that IT
manager did was break the law. I've found that threats such as "you'll
never work in this state again," as hollow as the person responsible for
them. Then again, I have a well deserved reputation for not taking crap from
people and I don't scare that easily.
