You know that.  I know that.  Heck, most of us here know that.  

Now -- how do we get that reality down the craws of spitting, clawing, resisting management?

Or do we just wait until the customers and regulatory agencies like FDA and USDA get serious about requiring more than lip service to "quality assurance"?

Or do we find ways to convince ourselves that we're really just glorified-typist tech writers and not QA champions after all and we should focus on the good parts of the job -- short commute, paycheck better than the call center, etc.  And hunker down and "just write the procedures dammit and quit wasting everybody's time on that ISO nonsense."

Or do we keep dusting off our CVs and starting the job hunt all over again when it becomes evident that the high hopes and promises at the interview were once again just a pretty shimmering lure to be spit out ASAP, ptui.
