Oh, if only...
During the week I do half an hour on the elliptical cross trainer every
morning as soon as I get up (I thought it was incredibly extravagant at
first, but I can't deny the power of having it right in the next room).
During the summer months I tell myself that weekend yardwork counts as
exercise. In particular, if someone made an exercise machine that
mimicked mowing the lawn I'm sure people would be lined up to use it.
Sadly, stress and caffeine do not have wondrous weightloss effects on
me. The opposite, if anything.
 which I do with a non-powered mower unless the grass has grown
longer than that mower can deal with
 whereupon the ideal would be to use a scythe, but they are expensive
and I can be a little clumsy. It just seems like a bad idea.
