Even though the humorous Bulwer-Lytton Bad Fiction Contest is not about Web
writing, it might give you and others some useful material. Your entry is
supposed to be the first sentence of an imaginary very bad novel. The
contest is organized by a professor of English at San Jose State and there
are winning samples on his Web site.

PS I have competed but I am not a winner - I think that indeed I will try
again. Anyway, here is a sample from an old (again, non-winning) entry of
mine:

...Egypt around the year 2500 BC and the last of the great pharaohs
Tutankhamen (who in the modern world is known as King Tut) is dead, the boy
king is dead cries The Royal Crier, and the Royal Chief of the Court
suspects that foul play was ...

I have been asked to find example of writing on web pages that are
bad, bad, and yet bad. Bad grammar, bad spelling, bad writing. It
helps if these might also be humorous.

While I search on my own, I wondered if anyone on the list might have
some examples they have run across. Any will help.

My wife, who made this request, is compiling examples for her
co-workers at work.
