Need Experienced Advice re Accepting Foreign ELance Biz

I'm an experienced freelancer and LLC about to sign up as an ELance provider; however, it occurs to me that my services may well be purchased by a foreign client or business. I'm used to my U.S.-based clients provided 1099's for tax purposes. What I'm now wondering is what do I do if my clients are non-U.S.-based?

If you have had experience with this, I would gratefully appreciate your experience and advice.
