Subject:Using DITA map to build FrameMaker book From:"Barbara Stuhlemmer" <barbstuhlemmer -at- rogers -dot- com> To:<techwr-l -at- lists -dot- techwr-l -dot- com> Date:Wed, 5 Mar 2008 07:45:12 -0500
Good morning all:
I have content that has been written in XML using DITA standards. The DITA
map was created by XMetaL for DITA 1.1. FrameMaker 8.0 has a tutorial on how
to build a book from a DITA map but when I follow the steps I get errors and
FrameMaker crashes.
Possible problems:
FrameMaker cannot use DITA 1.1 yet,
FrameMaker cannot read an XMetaL generated DITA map
I have screwed something up in the content
I do not have the error message but if someone felt they wanted to know it I
can go through the steps again I just have to find the tutorial again :-)
Has anyone been successful converting content using a DITA map to a
FrameMaker book? If so what is your ‘take’ on the issue I am having?
Thanks for your input.
