SVN merging and conflict resolution isn't so bad, once you learn how
it operates. I imagine that's the same for any product - the learning
curve.

I used to use Visual SourceSafe (VSS) and I prefer SVN because it
actually seems to *work* for branching and merging, feats I wouldn't
even attempt in VSS>
