Nancy,

Actually, if you have a wireless router, you could hook up a hard
drive to it and have the files available that way. You would have to pay
for buying a new hard drive (and possibly some sort of additional device
to connect it to the router, although I think there are some external
enclosures that would allow for this already), but you wouldn't have to
shell out money on a continual basis for online storage. You get the
same effect without monthly bills.

Others, I'm sure, could tell you more about this than I. I just
thought I'd mention it.

Subject: Online storage?

Hey, folks. I have two networked laptops at home. Two is definitely
better than one; having a backup in case one gets the vapors is really
great.

However, I now have the problem that usually whatever I want to work on
is on the other computer. Also, having them both running simply to share

files between them once in a while seems like a waste of energy.

SOoooo, I am considering using an online "server" where I could store
all my file and have access to them from either laptop, and from
anywhere else, too, that has online access. This seems like possibly a
very good way to go.

Do any of you do this? Is there a service you recommend? Thoughts?

Thanks!
