I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended to create my very first form ever.
When I began, I chose to create the form in LiveCycle Designer.

I added a Submit by Email button and entered an e-mail destination -
xyz -at- company -dot- com -dot-

I am not sending this form to our customers, so I cannot distribute through
Acrobat. Instead, the pdf is going to be sent by other people to our
customers.

When the pdf is distributed, the customer can send it back only as xml. I
enabled Extend Features in Adobe Reader on the Advanced menu. It is my
understanding that will allow our customers to return to us a pdf and not
the xml file. I suppose my first question is: Am I right about that? If
so, it's not working.

If I am wrong about that...

I found a way for our customers to send us a pdf. (Distribute a copy to
myself via Acrobat, which creates a file name with "_distributed," and then
send that copy to customers.) But, that workaround results in the
form being returned to the sender instead of xyz -at- company -dot- com, as the button
setting dictates.

I can't seem to get both the e-mail address and the submit button to work.
I've been experimenting and testing for two days, and now I am hoping
there's an expert out there who can help.

Thanks.
Michelle
