Here is one that I like: 'How to Write and Present Technical Information' by
Charles H. Sides. Oryx Press, 3rd Edition, 1999. ISBN 1-57356133-9

Another thing is the online stuff about basic Technical Writing that some
universities have published online.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (www.rpi.edu) used to have a free
introductory TW class or series of instructional materials online.

I found that they do have a ppt

http://www.ecse.rpi.edu/senior_design/rpi_technical_writing_manual.ppt#1

and this ppt does mention several different resources.

This online textbook http://www.io.com/~hcexres/textbook/ is mentioned as a
resource.

The Web site of the Society for Technical Communication is at www.stc.org
and I would recommend that you look and search there, too.
