Forgot about the Gordon and Gordon Web site
(http://www.gordonandgordon.com/), which looks as though it will have some
very useful info for you.

It has a free downloads page (http://www.gordonandgordon.com/downloads.html)
has a handful of useful-looking things.

Finally, you mentioned Java. Gordon and Gordon is selling courses that are
related to that (http://www.thirdwavestudios.com/gg/workbooks.html). 'DVDs
and Workbooks' is the name of the link.

Here is one that I like: 'How to Write and Present Technical Information' by
Charles H. Sides. Oryx Press, 3rd Edition, 1999. ISBN 1-57356133-9

Another thing is the online stuff about basic Technical Writing that some
universities have published online.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (www.rpi.edu) used to have a free
introductory TW class or series of instructional materials online.

I found that they do have a ppt

http://www.ecse.rpi.edu/senior_design/rpi_technical_writing_manual.ppt#1

and this ppt does mention several different resources.

This online textbook http://www.io.com/~hcexres/textbook/ is mentioned as a
resource.

The Web site of the Society for Technical Communication is at www.stc.org
and I would recommend that you look and search there, too.

recommendation for me?..I´m improving my English too, because I'm not a
native English speaker...thank you...Hello all, I'm new in tecnhical
writing. Could you show me the best tecnical writing books?..Thank you.
