I want to globally rename a conditional text tag that I have in many
documents and books. I'm using FrameMaker 8.0.

I have found a couple of threads on various groups about this but am
still in the dark I'm afraid!

I realise I can change the name of the tag in a file, then import that
tag into the other files - but this will not:

a) Remove the old tag from the other files,

b) Apply the new name to text with the old name in the other files.

Is the best thing to do just open up each file, and manually rename the
tag?

Hope this made sense!

Laura
