It's as good an explanation as any. Though if an experienced software
developer believed that we were using software that would magically
follow a document through his copying it to a random folder on his own
machine... I guess I'd at least expect him to have asked what location
he should be working in!

Maybe it's just that while we think we're all knowledgeable techie
types, any software that isn't in our own area of expertise actually
goes into the big box in our brain labelled 'magic'.
