I certaily hope that's not true. It's one thing to have confidence in your
abilities and to be willing to test them against those of others in real-world
competition, and to take pride in achievement when you are successful; quite
another to be offensive and insulting toward others because you perceive them as
less able than yourself and to take pleasure in their shortcomings. Even worse
than that is when someone who crosses that line between self-confidence and
arrogance is placed in a position where part of the job sometimes includes
telling people that their work is not up to expectatons or that they are not
qualified for a position or advancement they are seeking.

This is the only way I know how to write. I don't think I have have the depth
for multiple mental modes.
